Training and Lectures Conducted by the Safeguarding Commission in 2024 so far:

  • Training sessions through PFI, which included the attendance of Catechists, NGOs Staff, Childcare Centres coordinators, educators from government schools, and healthcare workers.
  • Six training sessions held for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students following the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing.
  • Lectures at the Institute of Anthropology within the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. 
  • Lectures to the students following the Certificate in Safeguarding of Children and Young People, an interfaculty programme of the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty for Social Wellbeing.
  • Lecture to the students following the Award in Residential and Day Care course offered by the Malta University Consulting.
  • Various training sessions to the WasterServ personnel.
  • Safeguarding Training Session to the Mathematics and Beyond group.
  • Various talks about Safeguarding were given to the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus.
  • Safeguarding Training Session to Hospice Malta.

Training and Lectures Conducted by the Safeguarding Commission in 2023:

  • Schools including De La Salle Sixth Form, De La Salle Secondary, Stella Maris College Secondary, St Aloysius Sixth Form, St Aloysius Secondary, St Michael’s School, Theresa Nuzzo Primary, Savio College, St Monica Birkirkara, SPMC Secondary, St Joseph Paola, St Joseph Sliema, and a session for new teachers and LSEs.
  • Catechists from M.U.S.E.U.M male section and Qawra Parish Church
  • Volunteers from the Sisters of St Theresa and novices from the Daughters of the Sacred Heart.
  • Lecture for the students of the Youth Ministry Course offered by the Faculty of Theology, University of Malta.
